	School Food Service Guidelines
	In order to carry out federal and state policy that nutritious meals are available to all students at school regardless of the family's ability to pay, certain procedures have been established. Each student is offered an application for Free and Reduced price meals on the first day of school. The application should be completed and returned immediately to the school. The application is divided into several parts; however the red copy SHALL BE CORRECTLY COMPLETED FOR EACH STUDENT AND RETURNED TO THE SCHOOL. It is the parent's responsibility to provide lunch money or a bag lunch or to seek free/reduced price meal benefits. Parents seeking free/reduced price meal benefits are responsible for all meal payments until the application is approved. Failure to return the correctly completed form can result in the denial of meal benefits to the student. Should you send the application to the school and have it returned to youfor additional information, etc., please be sure to complete it and return it promptly so there will not be a delay in benefits.
